The City of Iqaluit advises residents that the precautionary boil water advisory is lifted for the following locations:

Road Closure – Aiviq Street

Road Closure – Aiviq Street

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of a partial road closure. Aiviq Street will be closed to thru-traffic for construction (map below).

The closure will going into effect starting June 02, 2022. The City anticipates that this work will be completed by end-of-day June 03, 2022.

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residence that complaints have been received in respect to rocks being thrown at vehicles along our roadways, particularly Taxi Vehicles by youths.

Taxi vehicles are the main source of public transportation in Iqaluit, and the incidents of rock throwing places many individuals at risk including the occupants of the vehicle and other road users.

Wearing of a face covering (e.g. mask) is required in all public spaces, within municipal facilities, for City employees and guests ages 2 and older.

The City of Iqaluit would like to remind residents that in accordance with By-Law 937 Temporary Face Covering By-Law, the wearing of a face covering is required in all public spaces, within municipal facilities, for City employees and guests ages 2 and older.
