Water Treatment Plant update – Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Remains In Place
May 2, 2023 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit wishes to inform residents that the precautionary boil water advisory for all of Iqaluit –both piped and trucked water services- remains in place.

All water tests have been sent to a Southern lab for analysis. When that process is complete, we will follow the recommendation of the Chief Public Health Officer, based on the results of the testing.

The City’s internal testing shows that the water treatment plant is functioning as designed. When external testing has been completed, we will provide further information. Thank you for your patience.
