Water Shut Down and Precautionary Boil Water Advisory

October 21, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

 

The City of Iqaluit wishes to advise residents that the units identified in the original water shutdown announcement, with the exception of 521, will not be affected by the planned water shutdown and will not require a precautionary boil water advisory (PBWA).

 

The planned water shutdown will proceed on October 21 from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 2:00

p.m. to allow for necessary water infrastructure work.

 

Residents of unit 521 should continue to follow the precautionary boil water advisory guidance provided in the original announcement. Any updates regarding the advisory will be communicated accordingly.

 

The City of Iqaluit thanks residents for their understanding.
