Water Delivery Services Suspended- Water Conservation Requested

December 18, 2021 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit is currently undertaking repairs to a break in the water distribution system.   Residents on Trucked Services are advised that water delivery will be suspended for the remainder of the day.  The City anticipates that water delivery will resume tomorrow with the regular schedule.  Waste water trucks (sewer) remain operational.  

All residents on both Trucked and Piped Services are asked to reduce their water consumption by deferring laundry and the use of dishwashers, as well as by taking a shower instead of a bath.
