Tundra Tidy Up – Program Extended for Residents
August 25, 2025 – Iqaluit, Nunavut
The City of Iqaluit is pleased to announce that the Tundra Tidy Up clean up photo contest for residents has been extended until Friday, September 26. This extension is made possible through the support of the Government of Nunavut’s Division of Environmental Protection.
Weekly draws will continue every Friday, with gift cards awarded to one participating resident and a coffee break pack awarded to one business. The final grand prize draws for both residents and businesses will now take place on Wednesday, October 1.
To enter, participants must email their before and after clean up photos to comms@iqaluit.ca. Please include whether you are entering as a resident or business, along with a brief note about how much garbage was collected (for example, “3 bags of trash”). If you are submitting on behalf of a business, we encourage you to include your company logo in one of the photos.
Hashtags and tagging are no longer required. Entries will only be accepted by email, but we encourage you to continue sharing your clean up efforts on social media to help inspire others.
This contest is open to residents and businesses located in Iqaluit.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to keeping Iqaluit clean and beautiful. Let’s keep the momentum going!
