Temporary Road Closure – Charity Softball Game and Skills Competition
August 1, 2025 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

 

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of a temporary road closure between Ukkivik Lane and Sivumugiaq Street to support the IFD vs RCMP Softball Game and Skills Competition.

Road Closure Details
Ungalliqpaat Crescent will be closed between Ukkivik Lane and Sivumugiaq Street on the following dates:

• Monday, August 4

The closure will be in effect from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. each day.

Detour: Traffic may detour through Ukkivik Lane as needed. A map is included to help residents identify the affected area and plan accordingly.

This closure is in place to ensure the safety of players, spectators, and staff throughout the tournament.

The City encourages residents to come out and enjoy the friendly charity softball game and skills competition between the Iqaluit Fire Department and the RCMP. This event brings the community together in the spirit of fun, local pride, and friendly competition.

The City also extends its thanks to tournament organizers, volunteers, and community partners for their dedication in making this event possible.
