Road Closures in Core Area on October 7
October 6, 2020 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

Residents are advised of construction work in the Core Area near West 40 that will begin on Wednesday, October 7th to allow for sewer upgrades in the area.

Ikaluktuutiak Drive will be closed on Wednesday, October 7th. Traffic will be detoured around this closure through Mivvik Street and Allanngua Street, as indicated by the red and green arrows on attached Map A. Work is set to be completed by end of day.

Mivvik Street, near Yummy Shwarma, will be reduced to one lane of traffic on Wednesday, October 7th. Temporary traffic lights will be in place to direct traffic. Please see attached Map B for details. Work is set to be completed by end of day.

From Wednesday, October 7th until Wednesday, October 28th, Akilliq Drive will be reduced to one lane. Temporary traffic lights will be in place to direct traffic. Please see attached Map C for details.
