Road Closure on Niaqunngusiariaq near Arctic Winter Games Arena
October 3, 2024 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that Niaqunngusiariaq Road will be partially closed from October 5 to October 8, 2024, due to the installation of water and sewer infrastructure for the new Recovery Centre being built across from the Arctic Winter Games Arena.

A detour will be in place, and the road will remain open to two-way traffic. However, residents and drivers are encouraged to proceed with caution in the area.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as this critical infrastructure work is completed. The City apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the temporary closure.
