Road Closure: Back-road Access to Plateau

March 19, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that the back-road access to Plateau will be closed on Saturday, March 21, 2026, to allow Public Works staff to carry out snow removal activities.

The road will be closed from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Work will begin early in the morning and residents are expected to plan their travel accordingly.

A map of the affected area is included for reference to help residents navigate alternative routes.

The City appreciates residents’ cooperation and understanding as crews work to maintain safe road conditions.
