Pop-up Market at the Causeway

July 30, 2025 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit is pleased to invite local artisans, crafters, and entrepreneurs to take part in a pop-up market at the Causeway on Monday, August 11, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

This special event is being held at the same time as the arrival of the Silver Endeavour cruise ship. The market is a great chance to show and sell handmade items to international visitors and to support our local artisan community.

This event will take place rain or shine—large tents will be available for vendors and shoppers to ensure the market can continue in any weather.

The market is also open to the general public, and everyone is welcome to come browse, buy, and enjoy the work of local artists and makers.

Interested in participating?
Please register by filling out the online form (link below), or by contacting the City’s Economic Development Officer, Dominik Gagne, at 979-5607 or d.gagne@iqaluit.ca

Vendor spaces are available on a first come, first served basis—early registration is encouraged.

Important Note for Vendors:
Some items—like seal products and ivory or whale bone carvings—can be difficult or not allowed to take into other countries.
Items like antler and soapstone are usually accepted, especially if buyers get a receipt. Please let customers know about these rules when selling.

If you are not sure whether your art or craft is good for this market, please contact the Economic Development Officer for help.

We invite everyone to come out to the Causeway on August 11 to enjoy the market and support our local artisan community.
