Full Road Closure and Traffic Control on Niaqunngusiariaq Street
July 5, 2022 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of the road closures and traffic control measures being implemented on Niaqunngusiariaq Street, to allow sewer upgrades to be performed. This work marks the beginning of the sewer upgrade project that will take place along Niaqunngusiariaq Street up to Allanguaq Street.

Local traffic will still be able to access business buildings throughout the duration of work. The detour routes provided are along Kangiq/Iniq Drive and Nunavut Drive. The site layout and traffic control plan is shown below. These measures will be in effect between:

•  July 25 – August 11 (sealift timing dependent)
