Full Road Closure – Paunna Road

March 17, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of a complete road closure of Paunna Road on March 20, 2026.

This closure is necessary to ensure the safety of residents during the filming of scenes for the “North of North.”

The closure will be in effect on March 20, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM. In the event of inclement weather, the road closure may be extended between March 20 and March 24, 2026.

Residents, businesses, and their visitors will continue to have access to their properties; however, slight delays may occur to allow for the conclusion of filming activities.

Trucked services will continue to service the affected areas.

The City of Iqaluit apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks residents for their understanding.
