Full Road Closure – Jack Anawak St and Niaqunngusiariaq Rd

March 16, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of a complete road closure of portions of Jack Anawak Street and Niaqunngusiariaq Road on March 18, 2026.

Jack Anawak Street (between Jose Kusugak Lane and Niaqunngusiariaq Road) and Niaqunngusiariaq Road (between Jack Anawak Street and John Amagoalik Lane) will be closed to traffic.

This closure is necessary to ensure the safety of residents during the filming of scenes for the “North of North.”

The closure will be in effect on March 18 2026, from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Residents, businesses, and their visitors will continue to have access to their properties; however, slight delays may occur to allow for the conclusion of filming activities.

Trucked services will continue to service the affected areas.

The City of Iqaluit apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks residents for their understanding.
