
The City of Iqaluit is currently accepting project applications for the COVID-19 Food Security Funding initiative, for fiscal year ending March 31st, 2022.
The COVID-19 Food Security Fund supports projects up to $20,000 per application.
● The COVID-19 Food Security initiative is meant to assist organizations and programs in addressing food security issues that have arisen, or are exacerbated as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
● Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received, until the end of business on Friday, July 30, 2021. Funding will be awarded on a rolling basis.
● Subject to the availability of funds, applicants may be awarded more than one grant throughout the duration of the funding call; subsequent applications would be required.
● Applicants must demonstrate how their project follows established nutrition guidelines; preference will be given to those projects that focus on whole, fresh foods, and/or country foods as part of a balanced approach to nutrition.
● Funding will be awarded only to organizations that are in good standing with Legal Registries, and the City of Iqaluit. ● All funds must be expended prior to March 31st, 2022
