
Three dogs were collected by Municipal Enforcement on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. Municipal Enforcement was unable to identify the owner of these dogs as each dog did not have a collar or dog tags at the time of pick-up.
These dogs will be in the care of Municipal Enforcement for a minimum of 24 hours from the date the dogs was impounded. This may be extended up to 72 hours for captures occurring outside regular business hours (e.g., weekends or statutory holidays).
If you recognize thess dogs or would like to report a lost dog, please call City Dispatch at 979-5650 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m Monday to Friday or email municipalenforcement@iqaluit.ca.
Residents are reminded that dog tags are a great tool to help the Municipal Enforcement department connect a lost dog with its proper owners.
Animal Tags are free of charge from the City and can be picked up at building 1549 and 1085.
