This employment opportunity is open to Iqaluit high school and college students.
Reporting to the Facilities Coordinator, Casual Student Facilities Helpers - Arenas are responsible for a diverse range of job activities such as supervising and monitoring facilities, acting as security, performing janitorial duties, keeping records, cashier duties, maintaining ice, and clearing snow.
This position requires the availability and dependability to work evenings and weekends, including holidays.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Must be a Student attending high school or college in Iqaluit

Availability and dependability to work evenings, weekends and holidays

Good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to follow instructions and complete assisgned tasks

Interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-
Standard First Aid and CPR
-
Janitorial/cleaning experience
-
Cashier experience
-
Building maintenance; experience working with tools

Previous experience working in an arena

Class 5 Driver’s License

Ability to speak Inuktitut
Equivalencies that include a combination of education and experience may be considered.
Due to the nature of this position, successful candidates would be required to submit a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check, as well as a TB test.
