PUBLIC WORKS AND ENGINEERING
The Public Works and Engineering Department is responsible for the essential services in the city that include water and sewer services, road maintenance, garbage and waste collection and the maintenance of all municipal buildings. The Department is structured into five operational divisions, each with a foreman who is responsible for the day-to-day operations and delivery of quality services within each division.

IQALUIT CITY COUNCIL
Iqaluit city council is comprised of the Mayor and eight city councillors who serve a four-year term.
Members of the city council meet at regularly scheduled council meetings throughout the year, as well as a special council meeting as needed.
