The City would like to advise residents that City offices will be closed to the public and trucked-services will not run on Monday, May 23rd.

Trucked services will resume on Tuesday, May 24th at 6:00 AM and run until complete.

Residents requesting water delivery may call the City’s dispatch service at 867-979-5650, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. A service charge of $350 is applied for emergency delivery.

Please be advised that due to a mechanical failure, the City of Iqaluit is issuing a temporary boil water advisory for all residents.

During a boil water advisory, all water for consumption must be brought to a rolling boil for a minimum of one full minute.

It is essential that all water be boiled for the following uses:

The City of Iqaluit is currently bypassing all tanks in the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) while maintaining disinfection through Ultraviolet light and Chlorine.  This bypass is expected to remain in operation until a permanent tank solution is implemented. The drinking water continues to be safe to consume.

City offices are closed to the public on Friday, April 15, 2022 and Monday, April 18, 2022.
