Aquatic Centre Parking Reminder for Non-Facility Users

May 15, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to thank residents, businesses, and facility users for their patience as ongoing construction in the area continues to create parking challenges around the Iqaluit Aquatic Centre.

To help ensure fair access for everyone, the City would like to remind the public that the Aquatic Centre parking lot is intended for patrons while they are using the facility.

Nearby employees, tenants, and visitors who are not using the Aquatic Centre are asked to park in alternate available areas, including the Trigram back lot or the overflow parking area adjacent to the Elks Lodge building.

Temporary accessible parking spaces have been created within the Aquatic Centre parking lot for Trigram building users while accessible spaces at the Trigram building are unavailable. These temporary spaces are reserved only for individuals with a valid accessible parking permit.

The City appreciates everyone’s cooperation and understanding as we work together to keep parking available for Aquatic Centre users during this busy construction period.
