Water Service Restoration – Queen Elizabeth Way

March 26, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that water service has been restored following a water main break on Queen Elizabeth Way. Water was turned back on at approximately 11:00 PM on March 25, 2026.

Queen Elizabeth Way has now reopened and is fully accessible to traffic.

Following further inspection, the disruption was limited to Nakasuk School. As such, only Nakasuk School remains under a precautionary boil water advisory. No other buildings in the area are affected.

The City will advise when the boil water advisory is lifted.
