Partial Road Closure – Umiaq Crescent
May 20, 2025 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of a partial road closure on Umiaq Crescent, which will be in effect from 8:00 AM on Thursday, May 22 until 8:00 AM on Tuesday, May 27.

This closure is required to allow contractors to safely continue work on the new building at 158 Umiaq Crescent. During this time, only limited access through the area will be available, and traffic controls will be in place.

The City is asking all drivers and pedestrians to exercise extra caution near the work zone. Please reduce speed, follow all posted signage, and respect the direction of traffic control personnel on site. Keeping a safe distance from construction crews and equipment is essential to ensure the safety of workers and the public.

The City thanks residents for their patience and cooperation as this important work is carried out.
