Temporary Road Closure – Red Dress Day Community Walk

May 4, 2025 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents of a temporary road closure on Monday, May 5, 2025, to accommodate a community walk in commemoration of Red Dress Day.

The walk will begin at 5:15 PM at the Legislative Assembly and proceed to the Elders Qammaq. For the safety of all participants, the RCMP will implement a rolling road closure along the walking route to temporarily restrict traffic.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, use alternate routes during this time, and be cautious of pedestrians.

The City thanks all residents for their cooperation and support in honouring this important day.
