Water Update

February 5, 2023 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

Repairs continue to the water line located near the Tammaativvik medical boarding home. Tammaativvik remains without water for the time being.

Public Works believe the current situation can be resolved without a further city wide water shutdown. The City remains under a boil water order for residents connected to the piped water service.

If a water shutdown is needed, the City will announce it as soon as that decision is made. Trucked water services are impacted by the response and will not be running at full service today. Please conserve water.

All residents on the piped service should now have water. If you do not, the problem is localized and you should contact dispatch at 979-5650.

The City would like to thank residents for their patience, and the Public Works team for performing their duties in very challenging weather conditions.
