Victoria Day Holiday
May 19, 2023 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

Due to the Victoria Day holiday, City of Iqaluit offices will be closed at both building 1085 and 901 on May 22nd. The offices will re-open for business at 9 am on May 23.

Both arenas, the Elder’s Qammaq and the Youth Centre will also be closed on May 22. The Aquatic Centre will operate on Holiday Hours, and will be open from noon until 4 p.m.

Water and sewer trucks will be on the road on Sunday May 21, to fill water tanks before Monday’s holiday. Emergency water callouts will be available on Victoria Day.

There will be no garbage pick-up on May 22; crews will catch up to the regular schedule throughout the rest of the week.

The City wishes everyone a happy and safe Victoria Day weekend.
