Transportation of Heavy Material along Mivvik Street
May 1, 2023 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of our plan to haul heavy equipment and machinery on May 3, 2023. This relates to the planned relocation of the Fire Training structure from the current location to the new site by the Landfill.

To ensure that this process goes smoothly, residents are advised to observe traffic and speed regulations. Due to the size of the items that will be transported, there will be slowed traffic flow in some areas. There will be flaggers and indicators attached to the machinery to keep everyone safe and aware.
