Toonik Tyme City Office Closure

April 7, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

 

The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents that City offices, including recreational facilities, will be closed on Friday, April 10, 2026, in recognition of the Toonik Tyme civic holiday.

In accordance with By-law #771, this designated civic holiday takes place on the first Friday of the Toonik Tyme festival and allows residents the opportunity to participate in local celebrations and events.

Residential water and sewer services, as well as garbage collection, will operate on their regular schedules and are not affected by City office closures. The landfill will be closed and will resume normal hours on Saturday the 11th.
