Signage Review Paurngaq Crescent (2500’s area)

October 6 2022 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

 

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residence that after a signage review of the 2500’s area on Paurngaq Crescent, and adhering to the standards outlined within the guidelines of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Canada, the City will remove, as well as relocate affected signage in this area.

 

Removal of Stop Signs

All stop signs located along the right-of-way thoroughfare along Paurngaq Crescent will be removed.

All intersecting roadway stop signs within Paurngaq Crescent will remain in place. (Kalla Lane, Ivitsugait Lane, Qunguliit Lane)

 

The yield sign located on Paurngaq Crescent near Tinnguat Court will be relocated from its location near 2530, and relocated near 2522, and as such, requiring all traffic exiting Tinnguat court to yield right-of-way to traffic along Paurngaq.

 

Additionally, a yield sign will be installed on Paurngaq Crescent near 2525, which will require traffic to yield right-of-way before entering Tinnguat Court.

 

Residents are advised that the removal and implementation of signage will take place on October 21, 2022.

 

The attached map highlights the removal and implementation of signage as follows:

 

#1 – Removal of existing Stop Signs (blue numbers in image)

#2 – Existing Stop Signs remaining in place (black numbers in image)

#3 – Addition and relocation of Yield Signs (red numbers in image)
