Sewer Breach at Lift Station One

May 2, 2022 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

 

• City crews are assisting the general contractor at Lift Station One.
• Residents are asked to stay away from the impacted area.
• Those on Utilidor service are asked to conserve water to reduce waste water flow.
• Trucked sewer has been suspended for the day.

City crews are assisting the general contractor at Lift Station One (Iglulik Lane) in response to a sewer main breach in proximity to the Lift Station.

The waste water is contained and being diverted by trucked services. This has not impacted the inlet. The response for the repair will be ongoing for the day.

Trucked sewer services has been suspended for the day.
