Information Session – Sustainable Water Supply
The City of Iqaluit is pleased to announce two upcoming information sessions about Iqaluit’s sustainable water plan. These sessions will take place on June 7th at Abe Okpik Hall in Apex and June 9th at the Elders Qammaq. Both sessions take place from 4pm to 6pm.
Representatives from the City and our partners will be showing the options available for reservoir expansion and for a permanent water pipe from Qikiqtalik Lake (sometimes previously referred to as Unnamed Lake) to Lake Geraldine. Translators will be on site and light refreshments will be served.
This sustainable water plan is the beginning of the City of Iqaluit implementing the $214 million dollars of federal funding received from the Disaster and Mitigation Adaptation Fund. Please come out, look at the options, and let us know what your vision of Iqaluit’s sustainable water future looks like.
