Phone Disruption - Landlines
June 2, 2023 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents that many landline telephones are not working at the moment. Calls from cellphones to landlines are still working, and our Emergency Services can still be contacted for emergencies at 979-4422 and for non emergencies at 979-5650.

For the time being, please use a cellphone to call those numbers.

Northwestel assures us they are currently working hard to resolve the problem. Thank you for your patience.
