Landfill No Longer Accepting Metal Waste
April 18, 2023 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

Effective immediately, the Iqaluit Landfill will no longer be accepting metal waste. The current volume of metal waste onsite at the landfill is slowing down operations and creating a potential safety risk for staff and customers.

City staff are working right now to reduce and organize the metal onsite, to ensure we can re-open the landfill to metal waste as soon as possible. The City would like to thank you for your patience and cooperation.
