Iqaluit Aquatic Center Programming Updates
March 1, 2022 – Iqaluit, Nunavut
As a result of the recent announcement from Nunavut’s Chief Public Health Officer, the City of Iqaluit Recreation Department is pleased to announce that additional programs are reopening, starting March 7th.
The Fitness Centre at the IAC will be reopening the following programs:
• Group Fitness Classes (limited spaces available per class)
• Personal Training Sessions
Reservations for the upcoming week can be made starting March 6th at 12pm.
The Pool will be reopening the following program:
• Parent & Tot Swims
Reservations for the upcoming week can be made starting March 7th at 1pm in-person or by phone.
A reminder that all COVID-19 measures are still in effect – masks are mandatory throughout the Aquatic Centre with the exception of swimmers in the pool. Pre-booking of all programming will be required. At this time, the saunas and hot tub will remain closed.
In accordance with the City of Iqaluit vaccine mandate, guest services will continue to verify proof of vaccination and identification cards. The City thanks patrons for their understanding and patience, with the guest services staff, should this result in any delays.”
