Hot Spot at Landfill – Update V
May 2, 2022 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit landfill will reopen tomorrow, Tuesday May 3rd, for the day. The landfill will not be accepting metal at this time.

The road to the deep sea port will remain closed, past the entrance to the landfill, in the interest of public safety.

The landfill will be closed on Wednesday, May 4th, as the City of Iqaluit Fire Response Team will be touring the landfill with a landfill expert consultant, to review work to date and make further recommendations.

An update will be provided on Wednesday, May 4, 2022.
