Drilling & Blasting Operation for STEAM Hub – Road to Nowhere
October 13, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut
The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that drilling and blasting operations will take place at 4120 Road to Nowhere, across from 4123 Road to Nowhere, in support of the proposed STEAM Hub Building.
Operations are scheduled from Friday, October 16 to Monday, October 26, 2026. Work will take place daily between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
The work will involve the removal of a bedrock outcrop to accommodate the proposed building design.
The project proponent is Ampere, and the contractor carrying out the work is Tower Arctic Ltd.
The City of Iqaluit is sharing this information as a public notice. Questions regarding the project or the drilling and blasting operations should be directed to the project contractor.
Residents in the area are asked to use caution around the work site and to follow all posted signage and directions from personnel on site while drilling and blasting operations are underway.
