Crosswalk Signal Lights Disabled – Queen Elizabeth Way and Niaqunngusiariaq Road

August 14, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

 

The City of Iqaluit advises residents that the crosswalk signal lights at the intersection of Queen Elizabeth Way and Niaqunngusiariaq Road are currently disabled due to damage sustained during a vehicle accident.

Drivers are asked to proceed with caution when approaching the intersection and remain alert for pedestrians crossing the road. Residents should continue to use the crosswalk as needed and exercise caution when crossing, as the signal lights are not operational.

The City appreciates the public's patience and cooperation while the situation is addressed.
