Community Walk for Embrace Life Day
September 9, 2025 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of a community walk organized by the Embrace Life Council in recognition of Embrace Life Day.

The walk is scheduled for Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., beginning at the 4 Corners and ending at the Elders Qammaq. This annual event promotes mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and community connection.

Residents are asked to be mindful of participants walking along the route during this time. Drivers are encouraged to plan accordingly and consider alternate routes to support a safe event.

Participants are reminded to use sidewalks where available and to exercise caution when crossing or accessing public roadways.

Community members are welcome to join the walk or show their support along the route.

The City thanks residents for their cooperation and support of community wellness initiatives.
