Christmas Celebration Events

December 5, 2025 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit Recreation Department invites the community to celebrate Christmas events with their families.

Below is an event schedule for the month hosted by the City of Iqaluit:
  • Free showing of a Christmas movie at Astro on December 7th at 2:30PM
  • Elder’s Christmas Lunch on December 8th from 11-4PM at Aqsarniit Hotel
  • Christmas Parade on December 13th from 12-1PM
  • Santa Meet and Greet on December 13th from 1:30-3:30PM at Elder’s Qammaq
  • Sledding Day on December 20th at AWG Hill from 12-4PM
  • Holiday Qaumakuluit Contest Judging on December 19th from 6-9PM
  • Free showing of a Christmas movie at Astro on December 21th at 2:30PM
  • Christmas Games are taking place from December 22–24 & 26, 27 and 29 – 31 at the Cadet Hall
  • New Years Eve Fireworks with showings at 10PM and 12AM
