Active Fire Response
September 28, 2023– Iqaluit, Nunavut

City of Iqaluit Firefighters are currently responding to an active fire at 5316. Residents may experience traffic disruptions in the area. Please follow the instructions of Municipal Enforcement officers directing traffic at the scene.

Please avoid 5316 for the duration of the fire, to give our firefighters the room they need to complete their job safely.

Please be aware of City of Iqaluit water trucks also responding to the fire scene. In addition to giving them space on the road, be aware there could be disruptions to trucked water services, as they will be prioritizing emergency response.
