2025 Summer in the Square

July 15, 2025 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

 

The City of Iqaluit is pleased to announce that the annual Summer in the Square event will take place on Saturday, August 2nd, from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. in the Iqaluit Square. This community event features local vendors, homemade goods and crafts.

This year, we are also introducing a Chili Making Contest as part of the event, taking place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This will be a fundraising event in support of the Qajuqturvik Community Food Centre. After the judging and winners’ results, all chili contest entries will be given away to the community. Details on how to register will be posted on the City of Iqaluit Recreation Department’s Facebook page.

Local vendors interested in participating in Summer in the Square can register by contacting Matilda Pinksen at m.pinksen@iqaluit.ca and please include a brief description of the products you will be selling.
