Assistant Lifeguard/Swim Instructor

The City of Iqaluit Recreation Department is looking for enthusiastic Assistant Lifeguard/Swim Instructors to work at the Iqaluit Aquatic Centre. This position entails assisting senior pool staff with safety & supervision of patrons using the pool facility as well as assisting with teaching the Life Saving Society swimming lesson program to participants of all ages. This position involves working various shifts.

Reporting to the Facilities Coordinator, you will work evenings and weekends and be involved in a diverse range of job activities including customer service activities such as facility supervision and monitoring, security, janitorial duties, record keeping, cashier duties, ice maintenance and  snow removal.  

Casual facility workers must be available to work evenings and weekends September 1- December 2017.
