Make a difference in your community! Join the Teen Leader in Training (LIT) program! Learn key leadership skills needed to make a difference in your community and also gain greater self-confidence and job related training such as First Aid/CPR, High Five, etc. The Recreation Department will be offering the LIT Program for the second summer in a row.

 

Course Dates: LIT Program will run for three weeks July 28 - August 15 (no program on August 4th).
Age: 12-15 years

Electronic Registration – June 18th 

The Recreation Department will be implementing a new electronic registration system and accepting the first 12 participants via email. Parents can fill out the below form (LIT Registration Form – Electronic) and then submit it by email. Applications by email will only be accepted on Wednesday June 18th between 10:00am – 3:00pm. Applications will be processed in the order they are received. To indicate your registration form was accepted in the first 12, you will be notified by email on Thursday, June 19th. Please note The City of Iqaluit will not be held responsible for any delays caused by internet or server problems. Please take the time to read the important notes below. 

Important notes regarding electronic registration process: 

  1. Applications by email will only be accepted on Wednesday June 18th between 10:00am – 3:00pm (any applications submitted prior or after this date and time will not be accepted).
  2. Applications will only be accepted at the designated registration email address: leaders@city.iqaluit.nu.ca
  3. Only the first 12 applications will be accepted electronically. If your application was processed within the first 12, you will be notified by email on Thursday, June 19th.
  4. No payments will be required on line or electronically. If you are notified your application was accepted, you will then be given payment instructions and details.
  5. Parents/guardians will only be permitted to submit a maximum of three (please note one registration form per child is required) registrations per email.
  6. When registering electronically please only submit the registration form. Other forms such as schedules, waiver, photo release, etc., will be made available upon payment.
  7. If your application is not accepted within the first 12, you will also be notified.
