City hydrant testing starts June 7

 

The City will begin hydrant testing for two weeks starting June 7, 2021.

Public Works will work through different locations around Iqaluit to turn valves and test hydrants until the City is complete.

Residents may encounter low water pressure and cloudy or discoloured water caused by sediment stirred up when flushing the hydrants. Run your tap until water is clear.

There will be no boil advisory.

The City will be capturing and reclaiming as much water as possible that will be used in city operations.

The hydrant testing is scheduled to be complete by June 21, 2021.
