Qaumaniq Day Camp Program

The Qaumaniq summer camp program provides an active daily schedule of fun, supervised activities and events for kids aged 6-12 years. The program begins at 8:30 am and ends at 5:00 pm. Activities include arts & crafts, baking, sports & games, hiking, story-telling and singing. Day Camp information manuals are available upon registration. Registration information is below.

Summer Day Camp 2014 Registration - New Process!!

In-person Registration - June 12th

In addition to the new electronic registration process there will be 40 spots reserved for an in-person registration. This process will be the implemented the same as in previous years. All registration forms and other relevant forms will have to be filled out and all registration fees will be due at this time. To ensure the process is done in a timely manner cash or cheque payments are preferred but payments can also be made by debit, Visa, or MasterCard. In-person registration will be held Thursday June 12th at 5:30pm at the AWG Arena. The registration form and other required documents for in-person registration are posted below.

Electronic Registration - May 30th

The Recreation Department will be implementing a new electronic registration system and accepting the first 100 participants via email. Parents can fill out the below form (Day Camp Registration Form - Electronic  Inuktitut) and then submit it by email. Applications by email will only be accepted on Friday May 30th between 10:00am - 6:00pm. Applications will be processed in the order they are received. To indicate your registration form was accepted in the first 100 you will be notified  by email on Monday June 2nd. Please note The City of Iqaluit will not be held responsible for any delays caused by internet or server problems. Please take the time to read the important notes below.

Important Notes regarding electronic registration process:

1. Applications by email will only be accepted on Friday May 30th between 10:00am-6:00pm (any applications submitted prior or after this date and time will not be accepted)
2. Applications will only be accepted at the designated registration email address: daycampregistration@city.iqaluit.nu.ca
3. Only the first 100 applications will be accepted electronically. If your application was processed within the first 100 you will be notified by email on Monday June 2nd.
4. No payments will be required online or electronically. If you are notified your application was accepted you will then be given payment instructions and details.
5. Parents/guardians will only be permitted to submit a maximum of 5 (please note one registration form per child is required) registrations per email.
6. When registering electronically please only submit the registration form. Other forms such as waiver, photo release, etc will be made available upon payment.
7. If your application is not accepted within the first 100, you will still be permitted an opportunity to register at the in-person registrataion on June 12th.
