Candidates Announced for Vacant Council Seat

May 25, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents that the following individuals have submitted completed application packages for the vacant City Council seat:

·      Barry Blackmon

·      William Glenn

·      Amoudla Kootoo

·      Kuthula Matshazi

·      Maher Natsheh

·      Noah Papatsie

·      Trevor Tayor

The submitted application packages will be reviewed at City Council Meeting #08 on June 23, 2026, as part of the process to fill the vacant Council seat.

City Council meetings are livestreamed on the City of Iqaluit Facebook page.

The City thanks all applicants for their interest in serving the community.
