Temporary Accessible Parking and Traffic Advisory – Aquatic Centre

April 29, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

 

 

 

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents that 2–3 parking spaces at the Aquatic Centre parking lot will be temporarily designated as accessible parking.

 

Signage will be installed to clearly identify these spaces. Drivers are asked to be mindful of the designated accessible parking and the modified pathway to and from the Trigram Building, as rocks will be moved to improve safe access.

 

This temporary arrangement will remain in place for the duration of Phase 1, which is expected to conclude on May 11, 2026.

 

The City thanks residents for their cooperation and understanding as efforts are made to improve accessibility in the area during construction.
