Call-out for Members at Large – City of Iqaluit Board of Revision

March 24, 2026 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

 

The City of Iqaluit is seeking residents interested in serving a one-year term as a Member at Large on the Board of Revision for 2026.

The scheduled meeting of this board will occur on April 30, 2026, at 6:00 PM.

The Board of Revision serves as an independent body tasked with reviewing and resolving disputes related to property tax assessments. Its primary purpose is to ensure fairness, accuracy, and transparency in the property tax assessment and taxation process.

Individuals with demonstrated knowledge in property assessment, property taxation, urban planning, policy or legislation, real estate, law, or finance may be well-suited for this position; however, applicants from other backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.

Position Available:

·      Board of Revision – 2 positions open

Requirements:

·      Interested individuals must be in good financial standing with the City, with no more than $500.00 in arrears.

Compensation:

·      Members will receive a $350.00 indemnity for each meeting attended, paid via direct deposit.

Application Deadline:

·      March 31, 2026, by 4:00 PM.
