City Office Closure and Recreation Holiday Hours

December 20, 2024 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents that all City offices will be closed on the following dates for the holiday season:

• Wednesday, December 25, 2024
• Thursday, December 26, 2024
• Wednesday, January 1, 2025

Residential water and sewer services, as well as garbage collection, will operate on their regular schedules and are not affected by City office closures.

Aquatic Centre:

• December 24: Holiday hours (12:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
• December 25 & 26: Closed
• December 27: Holiday hours (12:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
• December 28-30: Regular hours
• December 31: Holiday hours (12:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
• January 1: Closed
• January 2: Resumes regular hours

 

Arenas (AWG & Arnaitok) and Facility Rentals (Abe Okpik Hall and Elders Qammaq):

• Closed: December 24-26, December 31, and January 1
• Regular operational hours on all other dates

 

Makkuttukkuvik Youth Centre:

• Closed starting December 20, 2024
• Reopening January 7, 2025
