Full Road Closure – William Mackenzie Lane (Apex)

April 25, 2024 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

 

The City of Iqaluit would like to advise residents of multiple complete road closures (map below) affecting William Mackenzie Lane (Apex). These closures are necessary to ensure the safety of residents during the filming of scenes for the “North of North”.

 

The closure is anticipated to be in effect, from 7:00AM to 10:00PM, on:

• Thursday, May 2
• Friday, May 3
• Monday, May 6
• Tuesday, May 7

 

Should the weather not permit for filming on above dates, the date will be moved to a more suitable date between Tuesday, April 30 and Tuesday May 7.  Residents, businesses and their visitors will still have access to their properties; however, they may expect to encounter slight delays, to allow for the conclusion of filming activities.

 

Trucked services will continue to service the affected areas.

 

The City of Iqaluit apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks residents for their understanding.
