Updated Traffic Flow at Niuraivik Lane & Mivvik Street Intersection
July 2, 2024 – Iqaluit, Nunavut

The City of Iqaluit would like to inform residents about changes to the intersection at Niuraivik Lane and Mivvik Street. With the construction of the Kisaut building, a new drive aisle was added, transforming the intersection into a 4-way stop to improve safety and traffic flow.

Initially, the signage at this intersection did not reflect the change, and it continued to operate as a 3-way stop. This has now been corrected, and 4-way stop signs are in place.

Drivers are requested to adhere to the standard rules of a 4-way stop: stop at the intersection, check for other vehicles and pedestrians, and proceed when it is safe and your turn.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our streets safe.
